Hi, my name is Macy!

People usually see photography as a way to stop time, but really, it’s about making it softer.
You find it in the hush behind a rodeo chute before the gate opens, or in late-afternoon sun cutting across an empty road, wherever the world quits rushing. It’s in the dust suspended in light, the worn leather, and the quiet breaths between the chaos.
When you raise a camera, you’re catching a feeling before it dissolves, preserving the warmth moment.
A little about me...
My photography journey started quietly in 2024 with a little family camera. I really just wanted to capture the everyday moments with my own two horses, Duck and Sirocco. It wasn't about staging perfect portraits; it was about holding onto the feeling of being around them. Having ridden hunter-jumper and dressage for years, horses have always been the center of my world, and my camera naturally became a way to document that connection.
By July 2025, that simple hobby had evolved into a deep passion for rodeo and horse show photography. Spending years in the saddle gave me an instinct for the rhythm of the arena, helping me anticipate the action and find the quiet spaces in between. From the elegant precision of a dressage test to the energy of a rodeo, I shoot to catch a feeling before it dissolves. I want to preserve the warmth and the exact weight of a moment so it stays as honest as it felt when you were standing there.
When I’m not behind the lens, I’m usually out seeing the world, with my little dog, Pancha, right by my side. My grounding place is back at my own little farmstead, where I spend my free time with my chickens, ducks, cats, and horses. I love hearing the stories of the people I meet along the way, and ultimately, photography is just my way of sharing those stories.
